Standing Together: Ethical House at the Leeds Women’s Rights March

On Saturday, January 18th, I proudly joined the Women’s Rights March in Leeds, walking alongside passionate individuals advocating for equality, justice, and change. As the director of Ethical House, activism has always been a core part of my personal values and our business ethos.

This march was not my first, nor will it be my last. Over the years, I’ve stood up against violence toward women, raised awareness about the horrors of sex trafficking, and fought for the protection of vulnerable wildlife such as orangutans and bees. My activism is deeply intertwined with Ethical House’s mission to create a kinder, more ethical world.

How Ethical House Embodies Activism

At Ethical House, activism isn’t just a passion—it’s our guiding principle. Every product we create, every partnership we form, and every initiative we support reflects our commitment to sustainability, fairness, and compassion.

🌿 Against Animal Testing: All our products are cruelty-free and vegan because no living being should suffer for the sake of beauty.

🌍 Eco-Friendly Practices: From biodegradable packaging to sustainable sourcing, our cosmetics are as kind to the planet as they are to your skin.

🌳 Tree Nation Partnership: With every order, review, or feedback, we work with Tree Nation to plant trees across the globe. This initiative helps combat deforestation, mitigate climate change, and restore natural habitats. Visit our Eco Promise page for updates on our progress toward a greener planet.

🛶 Ocean Plastic Clean-up: Through partnerships with organisations like Ocean Plastic, we contribute to cleaning up plastic waste from our oceans, ensuring marine life can thrive without pollution.

Reflections from the Women’s Rights March

The march in Leeds was a powerful reminder of why activism matters. From addressing gender inequality to fighting systemic injustices, every step taken that day carried a message of hope and determination.

The themes of the march aligned perfectly with Ethical House’s mission:

  • Empowering Women: Advocating for equal opportunities and rights for women worldwide.
  • Sustainable Living: Recognising that environmental justice and social justice are interconnected.
  • Intersectional Advocacy: Supporting diverse causes, including ending violence against women and protecting endangered species.

As I walked with others, the unity and collective strength reaffirmed my belief that we can achieve remarkable change when we work together.
